1st Class Lawn Care Terms and Conditions

  These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by 1st Class Lawn Care (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to the following: 

 We provide lawn mowing, edging, trimming, hedging, garden maintenance, garden clean-ups, lawn renovations, dethatching, top dressing, core aeration, fertilising, lawn grub prevention, weed control, and related outdoor services as agreed upon in your booking or service plan. 

• Access: You must ensure we have safe and unobstructed access to the property on the scheduled service day, including access through gates, driveways, or other entry points.
   
• Locked Gates: If a gate is locked upon arrival and no access can be made, the service may be skipped and the full service fee will apply.
   
• Hazards: Please inform us of any hazards, such as uneven ground, loose debris, sharp objects, low branches, or aggressive animals.
   
• Pets: All pets must be secured prior to our arrival to ensure their safety and ours.
   
• Dog Faeces: The lawn and garden areas must be clear of dog or other animal faeces before our arrival. Excessive animal waste may result in a cleaning surcharge at $5 per poo or refusal to perform the service that day, with a call-out fee charged. Alternatively, we may continue the service, but 'mulch mow' or side discharge rather than catch and remove green waste as agreed at the time of booking.

• We reserve the right to refuse or postpone service if conditions are unsafe (e.g., extreme weather, unsecured pets, hazardous objects).
   
• While we take all reasonable care, we are not liable for damage to items left in the service area (e.g., toys, hoses, garden ornaments) that may be hidden by grass or debris.
   
• We are not responsible for damage to underground services (e.g., irrigation pipes, cables) unless these are clearly marked or disclosed prior to service.

• Services are generally provided on a regular schedule (weekly, fortnightly, or as agreed).
   
• Cancellation: At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service fee.
   
• Weather Delays: In the event of heavy rain or unsafe conditions, services may be rescheduled at our discretion.

• Payment is due within 14 days of completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
   
• We accept cash, bank transfer, and approved electronic payments.
   
•  Overdue Invoices may incur a 10% late fee for every 7 days the overdue invoice remains unpaid 

•  All part payments will incur a $5 processing fee per payment, unless arrangements have been made prior to work commencing.
   
• In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to engage debt recovery services, with all associated costs payable by you.

• Quotes are valid for 14 days and are based on the information provided at the time.
   
• If additional work is required due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., overgrown lawns, excessive debris), additional charges may apply.
   
• Regular maintenance rates assume the lawn/garden is maintained to a reasonable standard. Neglected or overgrown areas may incur a one-time surcharge.

•  We keep our prices lower than many, and it’s because we want your property maintained right through Winter while keeping our skilled team employed year-round. What you save in the growing season, is utilised in the Winter season.

• This way, when Spring growth takes off, you’ve still got the same reliable crew ready to deliver top-quality results. 

• Should you choose to extend the time between visits in Winter (and subsequently make it more difficult to pay staff wages), it defeats the purpose of offering you cheaper rates in the growing season, forcing us to take one of two options.

                  1. We raise your prices to meet market value, and prioritise you low on the list when we are forced                      to do catch-up work due to sickness or adverse weather.

                  2. We look to replace you with someone who understands that you prioritising our staff in Winter,                      means we prioritise your service in growing seasons.

• We hold Public Liability Insurance to protect against accidental damage or injury caused by our operations.
   
• Claims for damage must be made in writing within 48 hours of service.
   
• We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration to lawns, gardens, or property.

  We are not liable for any delay or failure to provide services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, or emergencies. 

 By booking a service with 1st Class Lawn Care, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
